Bio

Matthew has taught ELL students in New York City, Venezuela and Peru for the past fifteen years.  He holds master’s degrees in both TESOL and Educational Leadership.  Matthew prides himself in providing ELL students access to a rigorous curriculum through various forms of collaboration. 


Student-Centered Co-Teaching for ELL Learners

Summary

This presentation aims to give educators the tools they need to successfully implement co-teaching methods that will meet their ELL students’ needs. Participants will learn about the application of the six co-teaching models.  They will apply their background knowledge and experiences to the process of relationship building.  Educators will build upon their knowledge of assessment and data collection for the purposes of student-centered co-teaching. Participants will examine the importance of analyzing data when co-planning for ELL needs.
