Frank Volpe

Bio

Frank Volpe holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling and Educational Psychology, and an M.A. in Multicultural Special Education.  Frank has experience working as a special education teacher, counselor and PK-12 administrator in the United States, China, and Ecuador where he is currently the Director General of the American School of Quito.

Summary

This workshop will introduce participants to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and it's foundation in research. UDL is a framework for ensuring access for all students to the written, taught, and assessed curriculum.  UDL helps educators plan for learner variability and remove barriers to success.  Core concepts of UDL include Multiple Means of Engagement, Representation, and Action.
